The Royal British Legion is the UK's leading Armed Forces charity and one of its largest membership organisations. Members meet throughout the country (and overseas) in a network of branches and clubs, for social gatherings, and to participate in fundraising and activities.
We provide financial, social and emotional care and support to all members of the British Armed Forces - past and present and their families. The Legion is also the national Custodian of Remembrance and safeguards the Military Covenant between the nation and its Armed Forces and is best known for the annual Poppy Appeal and its emblem the red poppy.
Founded in 1921, the Legion is not just about those who fought in the two World Wars of the last century, but also about those involved in the many conflicts since 1945 and those still fighting for the freedom we enjoy today.
Membership
Your local branch and club is in Muswell Hill and we are always looking for new members to join. We are a child-friendly, family-orientated club and membership is open to everyone. You do not have to have served in the Armed Forces to join, merely have an interest in our objectives and want to show support for those who have served and their families.
Club membership is separate to Branch membership and you are required to be a member of both to use our Club and facilities.
By joining the Legion you are ensuring two things:

Remembrance is kept alive and that the sacrifices our brave Service men and women have made are never forgotten.

That the ex-Service community have a voice and that their concerns are brought to the public eye.
It also gives you the opportunity to be part of a growing social club within the community.
If you are interested in becoming a member why not come and visit and have a look around. Membership forms are available and we can answer any questions you might have.
We welcome members from other areas; if you are visiting from another Branch or Club, we ask that you bring your membership card with you.

We are a child-friendly, family-orientated club and are always looking for new members. We have a very active Women's Section who regularly organise days out, tombolas and other fundraising activities, especially around our annual Poppy Appeal, for which we are always looking for volunteers.
